Scott Hill - US Ski Team Bound?
New York City based Think Racing is pleased to announce its season long association with Lake Tahoe, California native Scott Hill. 21-year-old Scott began cross country skiing at age 4. As a junior, Scott won numerous state championships, competed in 6 Junior Olympics and 4 U.S. National Championships.
During the 1999-00 season, Scott competed in the US Senior Nationals in Soldier Hollow, Utah. This race was a qualifying race for the Scandinavian Cup in Estonia. Scott took 2nd place, which qualified him for the team. He spent three weeks abroad training and competing with the best junior skiers from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia and Estonia. Scott became ill while abroad, and did not compete as well as he would have liked. However, it was a life changing experience, one that helped him define his future goals.
Scott’s long-term goal is to earn a spot on the US Olympic Ski Team. Through its 501(c)(3) status, Think Racing is helping to gather resources to support developing athletes like Scott
